Áine Rose Connell is from Donegal. She has a background in speech and language therapy and fine arts. She has received bursaries from the Arts Council, artsandhealth.ie, and Creative Ireland for her socially-engaged practice, combining literary craft with participatory art. She has worked as a participatory artist on the West Cork Arts for Health team. Áine was selected for Poetry Ireland’s Introduction Series (2024). Her writing has been listed in Seán Dunne Poetry Competition (2024) and the Cheltenham International Poetry Competition (2023).

She is currently based in Galway.
